Date:
Saturday, 15 December 2018 to Sunday, 16 December 2018
Time:
10am

This weekend (15th and 16th  December) from 10am Woodhorn Museum are opening their doors to provide a unique Christmas experience especially catering for those who feel more comfortable in quieter environments. Whilst this time of year is fun and festive, it is also undoubtedly very ‘hustle and bustle’ - with the streets of Newcastle jam packed with busy shoppers, loud music and chaos. These environments can prove inevitably challenging for those with autism and learning difficulties. However, a number of outlets and businesses, such as Woodhorn Museum, are beginning to make changes so everyone can rightly enjoy the fun and happiness the season brings.

Woodhorn Museum ‘will open early and this magical event will provide a more relaxed session for visitors on the autism spectrum and those who would feel more comfortable in a quieter environment’.

‘Skate through history on our popular WonderIce Rink. Enjoy the magnificent Pit Yard setting and skate off some of that seasonal indulgence at Woodhorn Museum this winter’.

Ticket prices are as follows:

Adults £5

Visitors aged 2-16 £4

This event is open to visitors aged over two and visitors aged 2-5 must be accompanied by an adult.
