Friends Action North East (FANE), is a small North East based charity that supports people with learning disabilities and Autistic Spectrum disorder to combat the affects of social isolation by building and maintaining friendships.

Over the last 5 years, our work has produced a valuable insight into the importance of friendship, and how and why it has such a positive effect on people’s health and happiness, as well as the wider impact on their families and community.
