Return to Work Carers Information for Carers It is now more important than ever to help North of Tyne residents be able to move into work. This lies at the heart of the North of Tyne Combined Authority’s aim to create an economy which benefits everyone. The Return to Work Carers pilot is one of our first projects to support people to access a range of routeways to employment. If you have caring commitments and want to return to work this project is for you.

What does a return to work opportunity look like? These opportunities will vary from carer to carer but could include support to write your CV, preparation for job interviews or entering work-based opportunities such as visits and tours, work experience, internships or access to open vacancies. For some it may be about accessing training or education as a stepping-stone back into employment. Return to Work Carers project offers flexible support to meet your needs as a carer. You will have a named adviser who will work with you to assess your needs and support you to prepare for returning to work. Whatever your circumstances if you want to return to work then this project, specifically developed with carer organisations, will be able to offer support.
