Through our informal adult placement courses, Ouseburn farm offers a safe and relaxing environment with many opportunities for people to develop meaningful skills, that support their vocational, health and well-being and recreational needs
Adults with learning disabilities who are supported by personal budgets are able to choose from a selection of farm related courses
Ouseburn Farm offers several areas of training including horticulture, animal work, catering and creative learning including arts and crafts, photography, carpentry, drama, dance and music. Trainees can choose the amount of time they spend with us and will be supported in developing a personal learning plan to get the best from the courses and the best routes for their wellbeing and learning progress. Learners can attend for six weeks at a time on a rolling six week programme that can be accessed on an ongoing basis.
Cost: Unsupported: £25 per full day or £12.50 per half day
Supported: £10 per full day £5 per half day.
These courses are suitable for adults with learning difficulties/disabilities and for learners with mental health requirements. The courses are also for useful for learners who wish to build their confidence and social skills in a safe environment. Learners can come onto the courses supported or unsupported depending on individual needs and our interview process.
