The Great Exhibition of the North has partnered with Northern Film + Media to bring you Remake A Take.

The North East has played host to a number of world-famous film and TV productions. Such productions include:

• Harry Potter (2001/2002) — Durham Cathedral/Alnwick Castle
• Billy Elliot (2000) — Easington Colliery, County Durham
• Avengers: Infinity War (2018) — Durham Cathedral
• Get Carter (1971) — Newcastle/Gateshead
• Transformers: The Last Knight (2017) — Alnwick Castle

Get behind the scenes of these famous films with a host of hands-on activities.

• Follow the Remake a Take movie trail to hunt out a series of interactive film stills featuring scenes from the likes of Get Carter, Billy Elliot and 24 Hour Party People.
• Spot the shot! Discover where all your favourite Northern film and television programmes were shot using the online movie map. Users are encouraged to submit locations missing from the map.
• Grab your mobile and have a go at remaking classic movie scenes using Northern Film's fun DIY Director's Guide (attached below).

This a free event, no booking required. The event is set to continue throughout the duration of the Exhibition and at multiple venues in Newcastle/Gateshead.
