FANE was established in 2004, is based in Newcastle upon Tyne and the sole purpose of our team is to help adults in the North East of England with learning disabilities to make and keep friends.

FANE champions friendship, raising expectations and creating opportunities to do ordinary things.

Friends Action North East (FANE) has a new one to one mentoring project. We are looking for ten adults with a learning disability who would like to develop their friendships, learn friendship skills and be more active in their own community to become a friendship finder.
