Broadacre House is the home for charities, social action and creativity in the heart of Newcastle.

It is a unique space blending working for positive social change with a creative thread and a collaborative way of working.

Broadacre House is a meanwhile (temporary) project, turning an empty office block into a thriving community space.

We offer affordable office, meeting, event and exhibition spaces for charities, voluntary organisations and social enterprises but we’re not just another office block.

We especially want to support those organisations working to tackle poverty and inequality and working with those most affected by funding cuts.

Our office space costs £8.00 per square foot (plus VAT) and you can read our information pack. We're thrilled to welcome 18 tenants into the building already!

Meanwhile, use is about making as much use of a space when it is empty and waiting for something to happen to it.

Broadacre House is in the East Pilgrim Street Development Zone and will be demolished in the longer term.

We have signed a five-year lease (to end August 2019) and will make good use of the space until then.

The project is run by Northern Creative Solutions, a new charity that makes creative use of empty space and brings the voluntary and art sectors together to do great things.

We have seven meeting and event spaces ranging from 4 people to 100 plus people, mainly on the ground floor, and cost from £5 per hour to £15 per hour (plus VAT).
