Libraries across South Tyneside would like to invite all residents to become a volunteer and help them:

• Research the lives of the servicemen and their families

• Take part in community events throughout South Tyneside

• Digitally record letters, photographs and other artifacts

• Talk to people about their relatives who were involved in the war and record their

memories for generations to come
