The club commenced in June 2014, has 64 athletes and has enabled one athlete to represent Great Britain in the Commonwealth Powerlifting Federation Championships in Vancouver, Canada in December 2015 as well as enabling 2 further athletes to go on to play for Newcastle United’s Down Syndrome football team.
