Time & Place: Monday 23rd March 9.30am-12.30pm at Live Theatre, Studio Theatre

This is a half day to explore together what inclusion means to us and how being inclusive can strengthen our practice.

Supporting all children and young people to be included is a challenge to everybody.

 

At this session we will explore together:

What are we doing already?

What are the barriers and challenges that we face?

What can we do? How do we support each other in the future?

 

Schedule of the activity:

9.00 arrive and coffee

9.30 – 10.30 Get Connected welcomes and Pippa Murray presentation Pippa Murray will give us a context as a parent of a child with a disability and as a social innovator, trainer and writer about inclusion. Pippa will also offer a chance for us to reflect on our own practice.

10.30 – 12.00 3 x presentations from Get Connected practitioners – looking at the local context - Lynn Campbell (Dance Connect and Arts Connect), Jim Montague (Music Connect) and Philip Hoffman (Live Theatre) will offer their experience and some practical participation to support us to consider the joys/challenges/creative ways forward in running inclusive arts activities

12 – 12.30 – lunch with an invitation to find out about local support and to reflect/ask questions
