The Tyne Bar
Located in the heart of Newcastle’s Ouseburn Valley, the city’s cultural oasis, The Tyne Bar has been a local favourite for more than two decades.
Famous for its laid-back atmosphere and an unwavering commitment to FREE live music, The Tyne Bar is the product of more than 30 years’ experience in the Newcastle pub scene…and we think the pedigree shows.
Operated by the same people who brought you the legendary Barley Mow and the Egypt Cottage in its pre-wine bar heyday, the pub boasts a signature FREE jukebox, a canal-side location, and a distinctive beer garden framed by the redbrick arch of Glasshouse Bridge.

Good music would go back again!
This is a great pub situated in the Centre of Ouseburn, with indoor seating and a really nice outside patio area. They always have a 'top row beer' which changes daily and only costs £1.60, great atmosphere, very lively on the weekends and Tuesdays when they have free food when you spend over £5 on drinks. The toilets are situated up stairs, which would be hard to access for a wheelchair user.
