Fawdon and Kingston Park are both suburbs of Newcastle. Fawdon dates back centuries but the area emerged in the 19th century when it became associated with coal mining. Now it is home to Nestlé Rowntree’s second largest UK factory. Kingston Park was largely built in the late 1970s to accommodate a growing population and has a large retail park.
