Gosforth is a residential area in Newcastle and its modern day centre, which originated in 1826, was a settlement known as Bulman Village. It is now an affluent area full of shops, bars and restaurants as well as the Regent Centre, a large business complex. It is also home to St Nicholas Hospital, which houses the Victorian Jubilee Theatre.
