Spennymoor, founded over 160yrs ago, is situated 7 miles from the historical city of Durham, well known for its Norman cathedral and 11th century castle – home to Durham university.

The Durham Gate site is the largest mixed use regeneration scheme in the Durham County, covering an area the size of two football pitches, and is a great leisure destination.

The Fox Cub forms an integral part of Durham Gate, providing excellent food and a friendly warm atmosphere. The Fox Cub is home to our mascot Foxie Fox!
