Fenham is a residential area in the west end of Newcastle, and is known for its ethnically mixed population. The area is home to the Fenham TV transmitter mast, which sits on top of Benwell High Reservoir, as well as the 'Pink Palace' - the BBC Broadcasting Centre. Both its library and swimming pool have protected status as listed buildings.
