We are Gavin and Imogen, the tenants of this lovely cosy pub/restaurant since November 2011. We're aware that The Duke has had quite a few different tenants over the past couple years which we understand makes for a bit of an unsettling feeling but we’d like to let you know that we’re here to stay!

It’s our ambition to make The Duke into a great place to eat, drink and unwind (and maybe even party). Most of all we want it to be a place that YOU will be proud to call your local pub/restaurant.

Our Menu

We have a fresh and exciting new menu out now where all of our products are freshly cooked and made by our very own chefs in house at The Duke, we much prefer the ding of a bell to the ping ping of a microwave!

Couples, groups and families are all welcome; we have a mini menu for the little ones and believe our Sunday Carvery to be the best around. If you are around during the daytimes we have our set menu Monday to Saturday where 2 courses are just £10.50.

On the drinks front we have a new wine menu where the lead in wines are far better than most house wines but at the same great value, whilst we’ve also introduced some fantastic top end wines for those special occasions. Along with great lagers and smooth we’ve also introduced Black Sheep Best Bitter, renowned as one of the greatest bitters the area has to offer.
