THE ORIGINS OF ALNWICK CASTLE DATE BACK TO THE NORMAN PERIOD. SINCE 1309 ITS STORY HAS BEEN INTERTWINED WITH THAT OF THE PERCY FAMILY, A FAMILY WITH A HISTORY AS ILLUSTRIOUS AS THE CASTLE’S OWN.
