The work of Newcastle-based artist Ellen Ranson will be showcased at a new pop-up salon in North Shields during February. Organised by North East art advisory service, Parapluie, this is the first in a series of pop-up salons, presenting work by emerging artists in temporary, pop-up gallery spaces.
Julia Bell, Founding Director of Parapluie, said: “We want to support artists at an early stage in their careers and give people the chance to see and buy work by some of the best emerging artists we have here in the North East.
“By showing art in this pop-up gallery space, I hope more people will be encouraged to drop in and see paintings by one of our region’s newest talents.”
The Parapluie Pop up Salon is open from Saturday 9 February to Friday 22 February (closed Wednesdays), from 12pm to 4pm. Admission is free and works will be available for sale.
Private appointments can be made outside of opening times by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
