The Enchanted Interior is an exhibition that explores work of male and female 19th century artists. It challenges the way women were often presented in the 19th century paintings - as a passive object of admiration in a beautiful interior instead of being presented as an independent person. The historical art is accompanying by installations and moving image works by contemporary artists.
