Elmer's Great North Parade takes to the streets this Autumn. Get ready to meet the whole herd as Elmer the Elephant (and friends) have stompety-stomped into town to take up their positions along the Great North Parade. Discover more about the region as you go on the hunt for Elmers - an excellent way to explore Newcastle and Gateshead.

21st August - 1st November 2019

Elmer's Great North Parade is organised by and raising vital funds for St Oswald’s Children’s Hospice, a charity providing care, love and support to babies, children and young adults with complex needs.

For 11 weeks, 50 big and 114 little individually painted elephant sculptures are taking over North East streets, parks and public buildings in the biggest and brightest art trail ever seen in the region.

Download the app from Apple store via this link here or Google Play store

You can upload photos direct to the app or post your Ele-selfies on social media using #GreatNorthElmer

Pick up a printed map from one of the vendors across the region

Public transport is the best way to get around the trail! Use Tyne and Wear Metro's journey planner to find the quickest way to each Elmer - simply type in your location and the Elmer you want to find here.

Remember to input a code for each big Elmer and one per Little Herd to unlock rewards and milestones. Just look at the plaques to find your code!

Download a Little Herd Treasure Hunt sheet and be in with the chance of winning a prize, or pick one up from all Little herd venues!

❤️️ Please remember that Elmers love visitors and cuddles, but they don't like to be sat on. #ProtectTheHerd
