Today as part of Friends Action North East we visited a music/pub/eatery establishment called The Cluny. The purpose of this visit was to review the accessibility information in order to add content to the community map. The building had disabled parking spots and a nice, calm environment inside. The staff mentioned that later in the evening it may get noisier, but that they tried to keep it calm either way. The building has a ground floor and a first floor, but no lift to the first. However the disabled toilets are on the ground floor and the staff are very kind and accommodating. Guide dogs or assistant dogs are welcome, but there are no facilities to assist those who are hard of hearing, deaf or deafened. The Cluny is not a registered Safe Space, however they were interested in becoming one. Overall they were very accommodating towards those who have specific needs.

In terms of the service at the bar, the staff were very polite and fast working. They offer a wide range of hot and cold drinks, as well as alcoholic and non-alcoholic so theres something for everyone. It is a family friendly place with a sign outside welcoming families and dogs. 4/5
