If you have ever wondered what people wore in the Tudor era or how the costumes were constructed then this very special event will answer all your questions.

Come and join us for this very interesting, lively, humorous and informative fashion show about the design and construction of 16th Century inspired historical costumes with appearances by Mary Queen of Scots, James I, Henry VIII, Anne Boleyn, Catherine Howard and others. There will also be a brief and sometimes humorous history of the people who wore the costumes.

After the fashion show there will be a question and answer session giving you the opportunity to ask questions on topics including history, jewellery construction, costume design and fabrics to name but a few. The costumes will also be on display after the event so you can have a closer look at them.

The event takes place at the White Swan Centre, Killingworth on Thursday 25th September at 7:00pm. To book phone the White Swan Centre on 0191 643 2040 or call into any North Tyneside Library. Tickets cost £6.00 and include refreshments.
