On Thursday 22nd May come along to a great author panel event with critically acclaimed historical crime & thriller writers William Ryan, Aly Monroe & Andrew Williams at Whitley Bay Customer First Centre.

William Ryan’s novels featuring Captain Korolev, a police investigator in 1930’s Stalinist Russia: The Holy Thief, The Bloody Meadow and The Twelfth Department have been shortlisted for the Theakston’s Crime Novel of the Year Award and the CWA New Blood Dagger.

Aly Monroe author of the British spy Peter Cotton series of books: The Maze of Cadiz , Washington Shadow, Icelight, shortlisted for the 2012 Ellis Peters Award for Historical Fiction.

Andrew Williams worked for ten years as a senior current affairs producer with the BBC, covering the big international stories of the day. His programme on the massacre at Srebrenica in 1995 was shortlisted for an Emmy and used in evidence at the United Nations War Crimes Tribunal at the Hague. For the next ten years, he wrote and directed historical documentaries for the BBC and international co-producers, including the award winning series ‘The Battle of the Atlantic’. He has also written two best selling accounts of Second World War campaigns.
