Aromatherapy, reflexology, laughter yoga, tai chi, mood management, pilates and relaxation.

Meet local organisers and practitioners.

The aim of the day is to bring together individuals, organisations and practitioners to inform, inspire and educate on minimising the effects of stress.

  • Talk to friendly experts from the Alzheimers Society, Care & Connect, Macmillan, Mental Health First Aid, Mind, PROPS and The Stroke Association
  • Try 'ART' with North Tyneside Art Studio
  • Find out information about volunteering from VODA and North Shields Time Swap
  • Pick up information for older people from engAGE and Age UK North Tyneside
  • Discover what activities are going on in your local area by talking to Active North Tyneside, Linskill Healthy Walks and Vamonos
  • Add to your healthy lifestyle knowledge by chatting with Oasis Dental Practice and Weight Watchers
  • Find out about childcare opportunities from the Linskill Nursery

Book onto one or more taster sessions on the day. Places are limited and will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.

Aromatherapy and Reflexology in Room E10

10 minute taster sessions delivered throughout the day starting at 11am by Sheila Clark and Lynda Hedgecock.

Wellbeing taster sessions

20 minute taster sessions delivered throughout the day as shown below:

  • 11:15 Laughter Yoga with Susan Robson - based on the belief that voluntary laughter provides the same benefits as spontaneous laughter
  • 12:00 Mood Management for wellbeing and good mental health with Annie Lee Afloat
  • 12:30 Pilates to strengthen core muscles and improve posture with Ashley Lowe
  • 13:30 Tai Chi to restore health and maintain wellbeing with David Robinson
  • 14:30 The BIG Relax to reduce stress and activate the body's relaxation response with Irene Anderson
