The Josephine & Jack Shack is a safe space for young people with learning disabilities aged 14-18 - an accessible space where young people can get to know each other and enjoy learning together outside of a school setting.
The 'shack' provides a safe space to explore issues around self-esteem, wellbeing, sexual health and relationships
It's a programme of fun, creative learning and social opportunities aimed at young people with a learning disability
The sessions will be delivered using a range of creative methods including drama, storytelling and games.
This 6 week course in Gateshead begins on Wednesday 6 June from 4.30pm to 6.30pm at Youth Focus North East Suite 6, New Century House, West Street, Gateshead NE8 1HR and has been kindly funded by The Gateshead Fund at the Community Foundation serving Tyne & Wear and Northumberland. It is also co-sponsored by Youth Focus North East.
